The beautiful idea behind the establishment of the Women in Logistics Club was founded by Ms. Jyana Tata. She was born and raised in Taiwan, a country where the world’s top shipping lines, Asia’s top freight forwarding and airlines are based and provide services around the globe.
To her advantage, Ms. Tata was, therefore, able to equip herself with practical knowledge and considerable experience in the logistics industry. She has spent seven years working in the industry and has made noteworthy contributions.
She came up with this initiative after witnessing the gender imbalance and disparity in the logistics industry and realized the need for an association between women working in the industry to connect, grow and support each other.
“Being active in the industry for years and seeing no representation from my gender was a bit questionable in my experience. However, it always made me think that are there any women in the industry? If yes, then where are they? Hence, I decided to start this club where women in logistics can have access to a place where they can come and grow together in personal and professional capacities. The goal behind our club is to provide a platform for women where we can network, socialize plus share work & life experiences and take some time for ourselves out of this hectic industry. It a commonplace for us to relax and get to know each other over luncheons, banquets, spa, social events, and other activities to give us a work/life balance.
Moreover, our aim is also to promote education and awareness regarding the logistics industry and encourage other women to join and contribute to the industry. I am looking forward to meeting these beautiful ladies and grow a fruitful association among us, not only in Taiwan but globally”

Women in Logistic Club由Jyana Tata的發想而開展出這個組織，Jyana在台灣這個世界物流的重要據點出生、成長，之後踏入物流的領域並一展長才，為產業作出優異的貢獻。七年的奮鬥過程中也見證了物流產業中性別所帶來的不平等，因此決定集合女性的力量，成立一個女性相互支持、合作的組織，共同在物流產業綻放應有的光彩。
「在物流產業奮鬥的這幾年，我幾乎看不到女性在產業的活躍，這讓我非常疑惑，甚至懷疑是否有女性在同個產業拼搏。如果有，那麼她們在哪裡？為什麼人們無法看見她們的身影？這樣不合理的現象成為我的動機，因此決定成立一個組織，讓同在物流產業的女性有共同學習、成長的地方。創立這項平台的目旳是為了將大家串聯成一股力量，在忙亂紛雜的環境中互相支持、分享彼此的生命故事、工作經驗。
這裡也將成為大家工作之餘的喘息，透過午後閒談、聚會、各項社交活動等認識彼此，於生活以及工作之間取得平衡。另外為了增進女性對物流產業的投入，產業相關的教育、推廣也是我們的願景，吸引更多女性加入，為物流注入我們的力量。期望能與優秀的女性們共同成長，不僅是影響台灣，更是成為卓越且貢獻良多的全球組織。」
